A CSORBAI TÔ. — A Tåtra legpompåsabb ékességc, a «Tatra gyöngye», mint a csorbai-tavat nevezik, itt van elöttünk. Svåjcz vadregényes vidéke, a legfônségesebb gletscher tåjék, havas ormaival és üde völgyeivel együtt nem szårnyalja tül szépség és bübàj dolgåban a csorbai tavat. «Tündérek tanyåznak itt» monda egy angol turista, mikor megållt a tö tükre elött és végig nézett a Krivånon, a mely a tavat beszegi. Ez a tåj bizonyitja legékesebben, hogy a magyarnak nem kell külföldre mennie, ha a természet szépségeiben gyönyörködni akar. A gyönyörü vidékre a kassa—oderbergi vasut fovonala vezet. DER CSORBAER SEE. — Es ist dies die herrlichste Zierde, «die Perle» der Tatra, zu welcher uns die Kaschau—OderbergerBahn führt. Die wildromantischen Landschaften der Schweiz mit den majestätischen Gletschern, den schneebedeckten Gipfeln und den reizenden Thälern übertreffen kaum den Csorbaer See. «Hier wohnen Feen», rief ein englischer Tourist aus, als er vor dem Spiegel des Sees stehen blieb und seine Augen über den den See umsäumenden Krivån schweifen liess. Diese bezau- bernde Gegend beweist zur Genüge, dass der Ungar nicht nöthig hat ins Ausland zu gehen, wenn er sich an Naturschönheiten ergötzen will. LE LAC DE CSORBA — dit «la perle» de la région des Tåtras est pour ainsi dire le site le plus pittoresque de la magnifique contrée des Carpathes ; on peut sans exagération, le comparer aux plus beaux paysages de la Suisse. Les touristes qui s’y rendent chaque année, ne tarissent pas en récits enchanteurs sur cette contrée ; on est en effet transporté d’admiration devant le lac de Csorba dont les eaux limpides réfléchissent les contours du Krivan et des autres cimes qui le bordent. Les voitures à plateforme du chemin de fer de Kassa— Oderberg qui traverse la contrée, permettent aux touristes de jouir de tous ces beaux sites ; dans ces conditions, il est évident que le hongrois n’aurait guère besoin d’aller à l’étranger pour jouir des beautés de la nature. THE LAKE OF CSORBA. — We have before us the most magnificent part of the Tåtra regien, the «Pearl of the Tatra». No wild romantic glacier scenery of Switzer- land, with its snowclad summits and verdaht valleys, surpasses in charms the lake of Csorba. An English tourist, enraptured at the sight of the mirrorlike expanse of the lake, surrounded by the hills of the Krivån range, exclaimed «This is the abode of fairies». This shows that Hungarians need not go abroad in search of splendid natural scenery. «In the forests and hills of my charming country, I feel how beauti- ful this world is», said the poet, and he is perfectly right. Hungary possesses many more such charming sights within her borders, vieing in charms and grandeur with the finest landscapes in the world.The lake is reachcd by the Kassa—Oderberg line. 10
